Car Washing Machine
So we started off with a study model that would help us recreate a washing experience that is reminiscent of the hand washing process, using human power. Principles of the same were implemented in the finaldesign.
The process of washing clothes by hand on a river bank is still practiced in India. Hand washing of clothes is still considered to be the most effective way.
As our final product we made a machine with an acrylic spherical hull that rests on 3 SS. Springs, which are connected to the stepney using a nut the size of the stepney nut, only longer. We used rubber balls with crests and troughs (agitators) that act as scrubbers. The entire setup can be dismantled to make space for luggage.

- The top 2 rings hold the hull in place and the bottom ring holds the machine to the stepny in the trunk.
